Watch out for the champions’ league restarting midweek days after this weekend’s fixtures. In particular Solskjaer’s Manchester United will host PSG on the Tuesday following their visit to Fulham’s Craven Cottage, Solskjaer has been reluctant to impose much unforced squad rotation on what he regards has his best starting eleven, but will surely be tempted to rest some of his big hitters on Saturday. So whilst a tie against the league’s second bottom team may make many of the Manchester United players tempting picks, factor in the possibility that they won’t start. On the other hand, McTominay, Fred, Sanchez, and Mata are all 10M a piece.
Similarly Tottenham already have a weakened squad with Deli Alli and Harry Kane both absent through injury and might be tempted to rest Christian Eriksen ahead of their tie against Borussia Dortmund. This might mean Leicester’s front men get more time on the ball than might otherwise be expected.
Watford host their former manager’s Everton who have had well publicised problems in defending set-pieces. José Holebas is known for his ability with a dead ball so that could be value at 14M. Otherwise Troy Deeney at just 10M would be a cheap forward who may get on the end of some set piece.
